Scottish born photographer Ken Dundas has spent his adult life steeped in the craft of photography. Learning on film and embracing the process of developing images, he has embodied a long and prestigious international career.
After studying photography for four years in Glasgow, Dundas apprenticed with award-winning photographer David Eustace. His early career found him as a staff photojournalist in Edinburgh.
Originally from Glasgow, Dundas has a long career working extensively across Scotland’s performing arts industry, with projects involving Scottish Ballet, Scottish Opera, Dumfries House and Gleneagles. For over a decade, he held a long-term commission for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Dundas has own distinctive style of portraiture and is widely recognized as one of the best photographers in Scotland. His portraiture gallery includes James McAvoy, Emma Thompson, Sam Heughan, David Lynch, Robert Carlyle and Alan Cumming.
His portraiture work was celebrated in 2012 with a solo exhibition at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery and to date has his work exhibited four times.
Dundas embraces high standards in his photographs, he brings an open-minded, international perspective and ease to the work he does for editorial and advertising.
He currently divides his time between Seattle, New York and Scotland.
